ONYMA Party of the year; An epitome of a true success:

On Sunday, August 8, 2010, New York City was the center of attraction when the Organization of New York Mandingo (ONYMA) launched its party of the year.
The event which is held annually attracted more than 500 people nation wide for both the beach party & the Ball. The event has once again been referred to by
many as ' the best association party '.  The event began with an elaborate beach party which was held at Orchard Beach in the Bronx, and climaxed with a 'Grand
Ball' at the new African club on 590 Grand Concourse in the Bronx.

The Beach party attracted guests, visitors and community leaders’ nation wide. Under a beautiful wheather, the event began with an All-star volleyball match,
followed by a kickball match between ONYMA female team and the All-star female team. ONYMA female team defeated the All-star by 7-6. This was followed by
the main event of the day; a soccer match between ONYMA and the All-star. The relentless All-star team led by its prolific striker Ayouba Sheriff of Philadelphia
PA, played to a goalless draw with their ONYMA counterpart. The game ended with a 5/5 penalty kick and had to be cut off due to time. Many in attendance gave
positive impression about the event. The vice president of Felmausa Hon. Mohammed Kromah, filled with optimism asserted that the event was one of ONYMA’s
best beach events. He applauded ONYMA for the success of the event and called on its leadership to consistently establish these events in an attempt to keep
the ‘unity alive in the community’. He thanked the officials of ONYMA for their effort. Also in attendance was the president of the Muslim Congress Alumni
Association in the USA; Mr. Kafumba Kenneth of Philadelphia PA. Mr. Kenneth was fascinated by the number of attendance, and applauded ONYMA for keeping
the 'community united'.

About 5 hours after the beach party, all roads led to the ‘party of the year’.  The Chairman of ONYMA’s planning committee Musa Sumaworrow and his dedicated
members were on deck making sure that all was set and ready for kick off. The party officially kicked off upon the arrival of the Parain;
Morris Kamara ‘aka’
General Morris and the Marian;
Haja Toure both of New Jersey. Two of the finest DJs; Kotoubou and the Perfect manager were in the house showering the
guests with praises and treats.  The Parain generously gave ONYMA a cash donation of $1000.00, the Marain also gave $300 and the President d’nour,
Fatoumata Sidiby gave ONYMA $200. Mr. Sekou Kenneh aka ‘Opinion leader of Minnesota’ couldn’t make it for the event, but generously gave ONYMA $200.

Famod Konneh, expressed his gratitude to the guests for their incredible act generosity to ONYMA and pledged ONYMA support in the
furtherance of unity in the Mandingo community. He applauded the audience for attending the event and assured them that ONYMA will always, with the support
of the community establish event that will reflect the true spirit of peace and unity. The president flanked by his officials and former Felmausa Queen, beautiful
Ms. Massa Kromah presented two awards of excellence to two of its dedicated members. Mr. Musa Sumaworro, Chairman of the Planning Committee and Mr.
Losine Jabateh, Financial Secretary of ONYMA were both awarded for their outstanding services and dedication to ONYMA.

Meanwhile, ‘The Best of Both World’
DJ Koutoubou and the Perfect Manager announced the end of ‘Ramadan Bash’ scheduled for September 11, 2010 in
Philadelphia.  A Bash that is expected to be a battle of the best DJ! Who will be the best???
