The Former Assistant Minister for Information Services Mr. Abu Kamara has resumed duties at the Liberia’s permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York.
Mr. Kamara now serves as the Minister counselor for Press and Public Affairs at the Liberian Permanent Mission to the United Nations. In a brief chat with Felmausa’s Leadership, Mr. Kamara said he takes this assignment very seriously because according to him, public service of any kind demands dedication and commitment bearing in mind that it is one’s patriotic duty to serve whenever called upon, and to do so with sense of responsibility.
Mr. Kamara who serves on four committees on information at the United Nations and decolonization committee respectively, vowed to present a favorable image of Liberia. He pointed out that within a short period of time he has interacted with international bodies within the UN system, he has come to realized that President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf’s Administration enjoys an enormous confidence among the comity of nations, a situation he attributed to the practice of good governance by the Ellen Administration. “Any one who visits Liberia today will no doubt witness positive changes that were not seen several years ago” Mr. Kamara noted.
Meanwhile, Mr. Kamara has urged Liberians in the diasporas, most especially those in residing in the United States to support the on going rebuilding process of the country for speedy development
