ONYMA Welcomes a New member to the Family!

Mr. Losine Jabateh, made the presentation to the Turay Family The Jubilant members of ONYMA who graced the occasion.
On Monday, June 28, 2010, the officials and members of ONYMA gathered at the residence of Mr and Mrs. Osman Turay to welcome the couple’s new-
born son,, little Ahmed Turay. Little Ahmed Turay was born on June 13, 2010. At the ceremony, the president of ONYMA, Mr. Famod Konneh
congratulated the couple on the birth of their son. He described Osman as not just an ordinary member of ONYMA, but a leader who have demonstrated
a capacity of commitment that can be characterized as responsible, courageous and honest. Osman who is a member of ONYMA’s Board of Directors,
has earned a reputation of being a tough outspoken person on issue concerning the association. He has also won the admiration of others for his
candidness and commitment to the organization. He has consistently advocated the principle of democracy and free speech within ONYMA. Above all,
he has committed himself to all of ONYMA’s financial initiatives.
The Vice president of ONYMA Mr. Laye Sirleaf along with other officials, Swa Dolley and Shaiebu Konneh all showered Mr. Turay with compliments
owing to his dedication to the association. In response, Mr. Turay thanked ONYMA for its support and outreach to his family. “ONYMA has made me
proud” he said. “They identified with me during the passing of my mothers, and now again during the birth of my son. I appreciate what you have done,
and I will remember it for the rest of my life“. He added.
Mr. Turay gracefully asked the organization to thank his wife Assata Turay for being there for him. The organization paid special tribute to Mrs. Turay for
her support and commitment to her husband. Additionally, as a tradition, ONYMA presented a token of appreciation to Mr and Mrs. Turay and offered
prayer for the family and the members in attendance.
