Global Presence
The principal goal of ONYMA is to promote unity amongst the Mandingo Community of New York and to network with other local organizations in transforming and elevating the social and political discourse. The major reason for the transformation is to redirect the youth from the unnecessary political division of a system to promoting education, a healthy lifestyle, and community inclusion
Communities that participate in sport and recreation develop strong social bonds, are safer places and the people who live in them are generally healthier and happier than places where physical activity isn't a priority. Sport and recreation build stronger, healthier, happier, and safer communities
Responsibility
Sports is a fantastic medium to gather communities and address various topics important to girls such as education, leadership, anatomy or birth control. A great initiative from ONYMA! We congratulates all participating team. It has been a fun and educative weekend. sponsored by ONYMA.
Building Community
Participating in sports can help increase civic engagement, especially with community centers that are attached to libraries and other municipal resources. Mentorship can be beneficial towards both the mentor and the mentee and may help build positive role models and relationships. Local sports events bring the community together, which can increase social bonds and meaningful connections. Games can act as a regular meeting place for some parents
